Description

Inspired by the rich history and mythology of Ireland, these unique resin pieces are handmade with intention in my studio in Co. Wexford, Ireland.

The little stones were gathered at the sea shore close to my home, and painted with a tiny Ogham inscription that reads grá, the Irish word for love. With sustainability in mind, I chose to use wooden frames to contain my artwork, and filled them with little foraged finds from my garden and a sprinkle of gold leaf. A beautiful brown leather cord brings the piece together and holds it close to your heart.

Ogham is the earliest form of writing in Ireland, dating from around the fourth century AD – over 1500 years ago. Many of these mysterious Ogham stones still dot the Irish landscape, and are amongst my favourites of the ancient megalithic monuments of Ireland
